About

Dr. Erin Kincaid and Jenna Meister, LPC, founded Higher Hopes Online out of a shared calling to make quality, Christ-centered Biblical counseling accessible to people everywhere. Recognizing the growing need for Biblically grounded care that speaks to both the mind and the soul, they created this ministry to bridge the gap for those seeking spiritual and emotional restoration through God’s Word.

In partnership with the Higher Hopes Institute, Erin and Jenna have developed an integrated, master’s-level Biblical counseling model that unites theological truth with practical application—ensuring excellence, accountability, and compassion in every session.

Every counselor at Higher Hopes Online is personally vetted, trained, and equipped to offer not only a safe and supportive space but also the highest level of Biblical and professional care. Our team is theologically sound, devoted to Scripture, and passionate about helping others grow in Christlikeness. Our passion is to serve Christians seeking a healthy and grounded alternative to care and to those in ministry leadership.

Both Erin and Jenna are wives, mothers, and devoted followers of Jesus who see this work not simply as a profession, but as a ministry—one born from a deep desire to see people around the world experience healing, hope, and renewal through the wisdom and grace found in God’s Word.

Q: What is online Biblical Counseling?
A: Online Biblical counseling integrates professional integrated counseling practices with Biblical truth and a Christian worldview, delivered securely through online sessions.

Q: Is online Christian counseling the same as Biblical counseling?
A: While both approaches provide faith-centered care, Biblical counseling places explicit emphasis on Scripture as a foundation for healing, Christian counseling may integrate faith alongside clinical frameworks. Christian counselors may be subject to State or government licensing and limitations on how they counsel or address faith-based issues.

Q: Do you offer online Christian counseling worldwide?

A: Yes. Higher Hopes Online provides online Biblical and Christian counseling to clients worldwide in secure virtual sessions.

Q: What languages can you counsel in? A: At this time, we have practioners who can counsel in English, German, and Spanish.

We are praying for the Lord to bring us highly trained and well-educated counselors in other languages so that everyone has access to Biblical counseling care.

Q: How do I know your Biblical counselors are good and won't lead me wrong? A: Our vetting process goes far beyond a job interview. We have worked side by side with these individuals in various roles for years. They are often missionaries who served on the counseling team for their member care division, or professional counselors who have retired from private practice, or are integrating care with HHO into their schedule of ministry. All of our counselors have received at least a master-level certification in Biblical counseling and continue to learn throughout their careers.

Q: What if I need something different? A:  Sometimes people need to seek medication or in-treatment care, and we honor that in our integrated approach and encourage you to go where God is leading you for the best care for your heart and mind. If Biblical counseling is not right for you, our team will help by sending referrals and pointing you in the right direction for the care you need.

Q: Why do I have to email or text before we can call? A: Our team is located all over the map, which means multiple time zones. You may be reaching out, and we may still be asleep or in our morning quiet time. The best way to reach us for Biblical counseling is to send a text to the US (+1 214-771-8057) number or by emailing to Contact@HigherHopesOnline.com and we will set a time to call you if you prefer a call.

Q: What is the cost? A: Our fees are per session, NOT per person. They are $75 a session. If you require a reduced fee, please email care@higherhopesonline.com to request the scholarship/reduced-fee application. Reduced-fee scholarships are limited and require meeting specific requirements for program acceptance. The length of the program depends on each client's needs.

Q: Our church/ministry wants to partner with HHO to offer this as a ministry service to our congregation. Can we do that? A: Yes. Higher Hopes Online provides online Biblical and Christian counseling to clients who are members of non-profits, ministries, and churches. Those partnerships are determined after discussion with our founders, Dr Erin Kincaid and Jenna Meister, MS, LPC. Many churches have opted to cover the cost of counseling with Higher Hopes, and we work directly with the church or ministry to accommodate requests for Biblical counseling.

Frequently Asked Questions

Statement of Faith

The Word of God  We believe that the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It stands as the final and sufficient guide for all matters of faith, life, and counseling practice. All human theories or methods are to be evaluated and, when necessary, corrected by Scripture.

The Triune God  We believe in one God, eternally existing in three co-equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, infinite in wisdom, power, and holiness, and worthy of all worship and obedience.

Humanity and Sin  Human beings were created in the image of God, endowed with inherent dignity and worth. However, through Adam and Eve’s rebellion, humanity fell into sin, resulting in separation from God and the corruption of every part of human nature. Because of this fallen condition, all people are in need of God’s grace and redemption.

Jesus Christ and Salvation  We affirm that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. Born of a virgin, He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and willingly offered Himself as the substitutionary atonement for our sins through His death on the cross. He rose bodily from the grave, ascended into heaven, and now intercedes for believers at the right hand of the Father. Salvation is the gracious gift of God, received by faith alone in Christ alone, and not by human effort.

The Holy Spirit  We believe in the ongoing ministry of the Holy Spirit, who regenerates, indwells, seals, and empowers believers for godly living. The Spirit illuminates Scripture, convicts of sin, and transforms believers into the likeness of Christ through sanctification.

The Church  We believe that all who are in Christ are members of His body, the Church, united by faith and called to live in community for worship, discipleship, and mutual encouragement. The local church is God’s ordained context for spiritual growth, accountability, and service.

Biblical View of Manhood and Womanhood  Men and women are equally created in God’s image, possessing equal worth, dignity, and value. Yet God has designed them with distinct, complementary roles for His glory and the flourishing of the family and the church.

Marriage  We affirm that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman. In this union, the husband is called to live with his wife in an understanding way, showing honor to her as a fellow heir of the grace of life, loving her as Christ loved the Church and gave himself up for her. Likewise, the wife is called to respect her husband and submit to him as to the Lord. Equal in value, husband and wife are called to partner in the harmonious work of God.
